Maryland has added a fourth quarterback to its roster, bringing in transfer James Joseph from Bowie State.

Joseph, who played high school ball locally at Bishop McNamara, provides an extra option in practice even if he cannot play this year. The Terrapins have only two scholarships quarterbacks – Danny O’Brien and C.J. Brown –as well as walk-on Troy Jones, who joined the team in the spring.

“That gives us four quarterbacks, which is good,” coach Randy Edsall said Thursday. “Then you have three that can work the game plan and one that is taking care of the scout team, so that was addressed.”
