Running down the picks for Navy’s 27-21 victory over Army …

1. Alexander Teich will move into the top 10 on the academy’s career rushing list.

CORRECT. Teich rushed for 93 yards on 18 carries, moving from 11th to ninth on Navy’s career rushing list. He moved past both Eric Kettani and Adam Ballard and capped his career with 2,146 rushing yards. With only one returning Mid owning more than 500 career rushing yards (Gee Gee Greene enters next year with 1,246), Teich should remain safely inside the top 10 for at least a few years.

2. Jabaree Tuani will at least tie Navy’s career tackles for loss record.

INCORRECT. It sure looked like Tuani would get there after snagging a TFL in the first quarter. But as good as he was, he didn’t collect another one. He finishes second on Navy’s career TFL list, one behind Andy Person (44).

3. Army’s Raymond Maples will run for 100 yards.

INCORRECT. Maples had 13 carries for 82 yards, and was one of four Black Knights with at least 60 rushing yards. None, though, had 100 yards rushing.

4. Navy kicker Jon Teague will have a perfect day to cap his career.

CORRECT. Teague made three extra points and two crucial field goals against the Black Knights. In his final four games, Teague was 15-for-15 on extra points and 4-for-4 on field goals.

5. Navy will win its 10th straight against Army.

CORRECT. The Mids sent a seventh consecutive senior class out with a 4-0 mark against Army. Before that streak, only five other classes had ever accomplished the feat. In a year full of close losses, Navy will have a memorable six-point victory to look back upon thanks to Saturday’s triumph.

ARMY-NAVY PICKS: 3-for-5
SEASON PICKS: 33-for-60
