George Mason suspended forward Paris Bennett for two games for off-the-court conduct.
Bennett will sit out the Patriots’ games against Duquesne (tonight) and Manhattan (Friday).
The sophomore missed Mason’s first six games, then averaged 7.5 minutes over the last four contests. For the season, he has no points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes. He played a season-high 18 minutes against Towson on Dec. 3.
The suspension means Mason (7-3) still will be without a full roster. The Patriots played their first 10 games without guard Andre Cornelius, who is expected to return tonight from a suspension stemming from a September arrest. Cornelius plead guilty to misdemeanor credit card fraud last month and has yet to play this season.
