Maryland defensive tackle Joe Vellano was named a first team all-ACC pick in a vote of media who cover the conference. Linebacker Demetrius Hartsfield was an honorable mention selection.
Vellano had 94 tackles (7.5 for loss) and 2.5 sacks as a junior. He was a second team selection last year.
Hartsfield averaged 12 tackles per game, good for fifth in the country. He missed three games in October due to an apparent ankle injury.
