* With D.J. Adams back in the fold, the sophomore had seven of Maryland’s eight red zone carries against West Virginia. Davin Meggett’s lone red zone touch was on a 20-yard touchdown run. It’s only one game, but Adams’ late-season penchant for vulturing touchdowns in 2010 could be well on its way to continuing.

It’s striking how much more effective Dorsey was on first and second downs (11 targets, 8 catches, 78 yards) than on third and fourth downs (five targets, one catch, one yard). Credit West Virginia for covering the Terps’ top wideout better as a series of downs proceeded.

Meanwhile, Matt Furstenburg is 3-for-3 on the season in converting third-down receptions into first downs.
