George Washington announced Thursday it released redshirt sophomore Daymon Warren from his scholarship.

The 6-foot-9 center averaged 0.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 7.3 minutes in 24 games last season for the Colonials.

Warren is the third player from last year’s team to leave the program with eligibility remaining. Tim Johnson (3.4 ppg) and Chris Fitzgerald (3.1 ppg) departed before George Washington fired former coach Karl Hobbs. The school hired Mike Lonergan in May as Hobbs’ replacement.
