It would appear that if there was one – and just one – Maryland basketball game to miss this season, it was probably Saturday’s. And since I was up at Army-Navy in Philadelphia, I did miss it.
The Terrapins beat South Carolina State 61-46 which, let’s face it, is not a score dreams of hardwood grandeur are made of most of the time. Or, as Mark Turgeon said afterward, “It wasn’t really a game that you could get into very easily.”
Since it was one of the two Maryland games not on the D1scourse docket this season (the other was the Nov. 24 defeat of Georgia Southern that coincided with the Terps’ football finale at North Carolina), there’s not much more to offer up than a plus-minus chart. From the sounds of things, that might be for the best:
