Georgetown will play host to Tennessee in the SEC/Big East Challenge on Nov. 30.
It will be the third meeting all-time between the schools. The Hoyas won 70-60 in Knoxville in the opening round of the 2003 NIT. The Volunteers knocked off Georgetown 90-78 in the 2008 Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla.
Georgetown brings back two starters from a 24-9 team that reached the NCAA tournament’s round of 32.
Tennessee went 19-15 and lost in the second round of the NIT in coach Cuonzo Martin’s first season.
That game joins already announced appearances in the Legends Classic (Nov. 19-20 at the Barclays Center against two of Georgia, Indiana and UCLA) and the Jimmy V Classic (Dec. 4 at Madison Square Garden against Texas) on the Hoyas’ schedule.
