ACC hoops coaches pick Maryland sixth

The ACC’s basketball coaches picked Maryland to finish sixth in a preseason poll.

It is the first time the league’s coaches have participated in a preseason vote. The league’s media will issue their prognostications Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C.

Maryland is coming off a 17-15 season that earned them the No. 8 seed in the ACC tournament. The Terrapins lost two starters off that team.

Coaches picked N.C. State to win the conference.
