Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs and linebacker Demetrius Hartsfield were among the ACC player of the week honorees.

Diggs was named the conference’s rookie of the week for the second time. He had five receptions for 105 yards and added three punt returns for 20 yards in Maryland’s 19-14 defeat of Wake Forest

It is the third time in five games the youthful Terrapins earned a conference rookie of the week nod.

Hartsfield had 10 tackles and a sack against the Demon Deacons. He helped make a goal-line stop of Josh Harris on a fourth down in the second quarter, and later ended Wake’s last significant possession with a sack of Tanner Price.

It is the first time a Terp has won the linebacker of the week award since it was instituted last year. Hartsfield previously won the ACC’s rookie of the week honor in 2009 for his work against Clemson, which also included a game-sealing sack.
