Saturday

Had he not missed the first 20 games, Bryce Harper would have projected to 111.8 runs scored. NL leader (Braun) had 108. #Nats #MLB

So what if #49ers declined safety? #Bears waived right to kick 2 PATs vs. #Eagles in 1935 to save balls. Won 39-0 instead of 41-0. #NFL

#Redskins fined for not revealing #RG3’s concussion during the #Falcons game. In other words, they had an organizational concussion. #NFL

As I remember it, the #Redskins announced in the press box that #RG3 had been “shaken, but not stirred.” #NFL should make them post a Bond.

Get the impression #Redskins are going to be more careful with the injury report now. Will probably list somebody with “the sniffles.” #NFL

Sunday

Tweet No. 10,000 <confetti> is coming to you from MetLife Stadium, site of the #Redskins#Giants tilt. There will be blood. #NFL

The last 3 #Redskins QBs to beat the #Giants at the Meadowlands: Rex Grossman (2011), Todd Collins (‘07), Tim Hasselbeck (‘03). #NFL

Suddenly the #Redskins are converting third downs. That’s 2 for 2 on this drive, after batting .500 last week. #Giants #NFL

Fred Davis limps off. Is that Chris Cooley’s phone I hear ringing? #Redskins #Giants #NFL

#Redskins, fined last week, being extremely specific with injury reports today. Everything but what kind of adhesive tape they’re using. #NFL

Two #Redskins possessions: 93 yards, then 80. They came to play. Up 10-7. #Giants #NFL

After that 28-yard run by #RG3 on a keeper around RE, followed by 30-yard run by Morris around same end, #Giants‘ heads must be spinning.

#Redskins almost halfway to 300 yards rushing (146 late in 1st half). Last time they had 300 was in this 1985 game: http://bit.ly/Uo8XlO

One of the reasons I bring it up is that the #Redskins‘ leading rusher vs. the #Falcons that day in ‘85 was named Griffin (Keith). 164 yds.

300 yards rushing is pretty rare. #Redskins have done it just once in last 57 years. #Giants #NFL

When #RG3 rolls out like that, it looks like he’s surveying the selections at a dessert bar. #Redskins #Giants #NFL

Martellus Bennett’s 79 yards receiving is his career high for a game — and it’s still the third quarter. #Redskins #Giants #NFL

This review is lasting so long, you’d think the replay official was using one of his lifelines. #Redskins #Giants #NFL

So tough to defend vs. #RG and #Redskins on 4th down. Can’t cheat on anything when QB is mobile. #Giants #NFL

As Osi would say, that was Sir Robert Griffin who completed that 4th-and-10 pass to Paulsen for a first down at the #Redskins 42. #Giants

Was wondering when the #Redskins were going to let Santana Moss come out and play again. That was the time — 30-yard TD catch, 23-20 lead.

#RG3’s finding out what Tom Brady keeps finding out: Eli’s hard to beat at the end of a game. #Giants, 27-23. #Redskins #NFL

The #Redskins haven’t rushed for 225+ yards and lost a game since 1959. They had 248 today. The last time they did it: http://bit.ly/QAz6tq

Morris has 658 rushing yards through 7 games — more than Eddie George (640), Edgerrin James (637) + LT (620) had as rookies. #Redskins #NFL

Fred Davis’ ruptured Achilles is just the latest bit of misery for the 2008 #Redskins draft. (Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly, etc., etc.) #NFL

Only one #NFL LB has more interceptions than the #Redskins‘ Rob Jackson (2) — the #Giants‘ Michael Boley (3).

Tuesday

Only in America can you bat .204, strike out 222 times and be voted Comeback Player of the Year. Is this a great country or what? #MLB #Nats

Wednesday

Great that ESPN has come up with new passer rating system so they can tell us Luck (53.6%) is playing better than #RG3 (70.4%). #Redskins

Thursday

In honor of Chris Cooley’s return to the #Redskins, here are 5 players in #NFL history who had second acts with their original teams:

1. Fran Tarkenton (#Vikes 1961-66, ‘72-78). Went to 3 Super Bowls during the second stretch, losing all of them. #Redskins #NFL

2. Chris Doleman (#Vikes 1985-93, ‘99). Came back for his final #NFL season and racked up 8 sacks. #Redskins

3. Warrick Dunn (#Bucs, 1997-2001, ‘08). Finished his career in Tampa, gaining the last 786 of his 10,967 rushing yards. #Redskins #NFL

4. Jeremiah Trotter (#Eagles 1998-2001, ‘04-06, ‘09). Went to 2 Pro Bowls in his 2nd tour of duty. Bombed with #Redskins, ‘02-03. #NFL

5. Muhsin Muhammad (#Panthers 1996-2004, ‘08-09). Averaged 59 catches those last 2 seasons after spending time with #Bears#NFL #Redskins

This much I know: If any DL or LB named Frank, Franklin, etc., has a big game this weekend, he’ll be nicknamed Frankenstorm. #NFL #CFB

Just saw the #Steelers‘ throwback uniforms. Instead of game films, maybe the #Redskins should have watched “The Longest Yard.” #NFL

Friday

#Bucs‘ Doug Martin had 214 yds from scrimmage vs. #Vikes. Only 4 rookie RBs since ‘60 have had 200+ twice: AP, Bettis, Dickerson, Sims. #NFL

Marshall Faulk (213) did it in 1994 vs. #Redskins despite “only” 86 yds rushing. 8-127 receiving with 85-yd TD (from Harbaugh) #Colts #NFL

The Faulk game is better remembered hereabouts as Gus Frerotte’s #Redskins debut. 226 yards passing, 2 TDs, 41-27 win. http://bit.ly/SmMHGc

Speaking of Peterson, he’s on pace for 1,550 rushing yds. Gotta be a record for a guy coming off a blown-out knee (esp. in Dec.) #Vikes #NFL

Maybe, over time, Christian Ponder will develop into a Rich Gannon type. But more likely he’ll keep right on being Christian Ponder. #Vikes
