This is the first season since I retired back in December of 2002 that I truly believe that we have a legitimate chance at really doing something special.

My 20 years of experience tells me that if a team is going to win big in this league, that they must have four unique things working for them:

1. Great talent

2. Solid schemes where the talent can be released

3. Make sure those talented players are also smart players

4. You better have that intangible something that Joe Gibbs used to call “a feeling,” which is a sense of togetherness, respect and appreciation for one another and for the game itself.

This year I think they just might have it all! Go Redskins!
