Another day at the office, and another day with (poetential) injuries to report. The Caps are underway with practice here at K-Plex, and there are several guys missing. Alexander Semin, Sergei Fedorov and John Erskine could be expected — they have all been out with injuries.

But there are also four new guys who are not practicing today. Tom Poti injured his groin Sunday against Philadelphia, so that’s a not a big surprise. Mike Green, David Steckel and Donald Brashear are also not on the ice. Green is probably shoulder related, and Brashear was limping after the Flyers game (Aaron Asham might want to come down with the flu in early January). Steckel was around after the game, and there wasn’t anything immediately noticeable wrong with him.

The defensemen are Morrisonn, Alzner, Jurcina, Sloan, Collins and Schultz. Both goalies are also out there.
