We’re approaching the midway point through the third, and the Caps have spent a significant portion of the period in front of Chicago goalie Nikolai Khabibulin. They are the more aggressive team at the moment. I’d have to look at the stat sheet in a bit to see how many shots on goal, but there were probably close to a half-dozen during a two minute stretch about 7 minutes into the period. (ESPN says the Caps have 7 shots on goal, compared to 2 for the Blackhawks.) Still tied at 2-2, however.
