OK, the Caps are done here at Conte Forum on the campus of Boston College (a pretty sweet barn, for hockey at least). Here is a quick update before some deadline-cramming commences:
* Shaone Morrisonn (lower body) and Tom Poti (groin) are still questionable for tomorrow. Both will take the morning skate before deciding. Bruce Boudreau said he expects one of them to play, and he expects Karl Alzner to play.
* Bryan Helmer is close by in Worcester for the AHL all-star game, but Boudreau made it sound like he won’t be rejoining the team.
* Morrisonn didn’t divulge what the injury actually was, but he did say it was not from a hit or a wayward puck. He said it was just general wear and tear/soreness.
* The BC hockey players were able to come in the locker room (which is massive, probably because the football stadium is attached to this building) and chat up some of the Caps players.
That’s all I got for now. Here’s a quick apology for the lack of activity on this blog during the weekend in Montreal, but the internet situation was, like in Ottawa and Columbus for the past two drafts, a DISASTER. Just getting the stories sent in was a chore, so trying to do mych blogging was out of the question.
