The Caps are going through practice right now here at K-Plex. The top line and the fourth line appear to be set for tomorrow night’s game against Columbus. But the second and third lines look a little crowded, especially if Tomas Fleischmann and Sergei Fedorov are ready to play tomorrow.

If they are, there will be two healthy forwards sitting out — something that hasn’t been seen around here in a while. Here are the lines:

Tomorrow night could be a momentus one for Bruce Boudreau. If the Caps win, it will clinch a trip to Montreal as the Eastern Conference assistant coach. Basically, the Caps need to collect a point in the next two games or have Montreal lose one for this happen.

We’ll find out how many of the players on the team will be in Montreal for the all-star game in about an hour.
