Donald Brashear wasn’t on the ice this morning here at Mellon Arena. Because Bruce Boudreau talked before his players went on, a few minutes ago was the first time he could address it.
“Because we left him at home,” Boudreau said. “We figured that if he’s not eligible to play, then [strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish] could skate him a lot harder and better and he could work out with the trainer. … So there goes that rumor.”
As for John Erskine and Eric Fehr, they both remain game-time decisions. Boudreau was asked about Tom Poti limping, but he said Poti is fine and will play tonight. He gave the “everyone is banged up during the playoffs.”
