O'Donnell on defensive in radio interview

Christine O’Donnell, the tea-party backed longshot who is starting to make some noise in the race to fill the Delaware Senate seat once held by Vice President Joseph Biden, ran into a radio interview buzzsaw early Thursday.

In a contentious appearance on Dan Gaffney’s WGMD talk show in Rehoboth Beach, the 41-year-old candidate spent a half-hour or so fending off questions about unpaid debt from previous unsuccessful campaigns, backpedaling from inflated or inaccurate campaign comments captured on audio and defending her campaign tactics against her “establishment” Republican opponent in the Sept. 14 primary, former governor and current Congressman, Rep. Mike Castle.
