Obama earns millions from book sales

President Obama continues to rake in cash as an author.

The president earned between $1 million and $5 million in royalties in 2010 from the book, “Dreams from My Father,” according to a financial disclosure form released by the White House Monday.

He also pulled in between $100,000 and $1,000,000 from “Audacity of Hope,” his book tied in to the 2008 presidential campaign. Both books were published before he became president.

An attachment to the financial form disclosed that the publisher of “Dreams,” Random House, also is planning a young adult’s version of the book.In tax returns in April, the Obamas reported adjusted gross income of $1,728,000 for 2010.
