New Perry ad: 'I'm a doer, not a talker'

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s presidential campaign has a new ad for Iowa that pokes a little fun at Mr. Perry’s poor debate performances while taking a shot at President Obama.

The ad features a relaxed Mr. Perry speaking directly to the camera, telling the viewer: “I’m a doer, not a talker.

“If you’re looking for a slick politician or a guy with great teleprompter skills, we already have that. And he’s destroying our economy,” Mr. Perry says in the ad, unveiled on the campaign’s website Monday.

The latest ad comes on the heels of a new poll that shows Mr. Perry well back of the front-runners in the Iowa with the caucuses coming up in barely more than two months.
