The Republican National Committee raised $37.7 million last month — the best July in the committee’s history, the RNC announced Friday.
“Both small and major donors have contributed to our fundraising success as they continue to express their support for Governor Romney and our party,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. This money allows us to get our message out to voters across this country on the ground and on the air. This momentum will carry us to victory in November, when we defeat President Obama and get America working again.”
The committee currently has $88.7 million on hand, and has raised $158 million in the first half of this year. That compares to $130 million between January and July four years ago and $134 million over the same time period in 2004.
