Obama to travel to Newtown on Sunday

President Obama will travel Sunday to Newtown, Conn., the site of the deadly elementary school shooting that took the lives of 20 children, the White House announced Saturday evening.

Mr. Obama plans to meet with victims’ families and first responders. In the evening, he will speak at an interfaith vigil for families of the victims and those attending Sandy Hook Elementary School.

“More details will be released as they are available,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said in the release.
