President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will host British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha, for an official state dinner in March, the White House announced Friday.

The Camerons’ visit on March 13-14 will “highlight the fundamental importance of the U.S.-UK special relationship and the depth of the friendship between the American people and the people of the United Kingdom,” the White House said in a statement. The two leaders are expected to discuss the upcoming NATO and G-8 summits, both of which will be held in Chicago this spring. Other items on their agenda will be Afghanistan, the Middle East, Iran, human rights, and global economic stability and growth.
