Not everyone was a big fan of President Obama’s and Conan O’Brien’s comedic turns Saturday night in front of the journalists, politicians and celebrities gathered at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
In an appearance Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee Republican, praised the dinner, “even though I don’t like the zingers.”
“I feel like, never injure anyone, even in jest. I don’t like those zingers; they make me uncomfortable,” the 60-year-old mother of two said. “But I do appreciate the fact that we can come together and have that political humor.”
