Education Secretary Duncan to return to NBA celebrity game

Education Secretary Arne Duncan will make his third appearance in the NBA’s All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday night, taking the court alongside former athletes and Hollywood stars.

Mr. Duncan is the only public official on this year’s celebrity roster, which also includes entertainers Nick Cannon and Trey Songz, athletes such as Usain Bolt, and media figures such as ABC’s John Schriffen and ESPN’s Ryen Russillo.

The 6-foot-5-inch Mr. Duncan is no stranger to the game. Before coming to Chicago and taking over that city’s school system, he played professional basketball in Australia from 1987 to 1991.

Before that, he was co-captain of Harvard University’s basketball team and also was named a first-team academic all-American.
