Sen. Rand Paul is heading to South Carolina to headline a barbecue hosted by the state Republican party Friday.

The trip to the early primary state for the Kentucky Republican and potential 2016 GOP presidential nominee will also include listening sessions in Spartanburg and Columbia before the barbecue hosted by the state Republican party at the South Carolina State Farmer’s Market in Columbia at 6 p.m.
