Sen. Marco Rubio said Tuesday that Attorney General Eric Holder should resign.

The Florida Senator and likely 2016 presidential candidate said that Mr. Holder had lost the public’s trust.

“I think it is time for Eric Holder to step aside,” Mr. Rubio said on “Fox and Friends.” “People simply don’t have confidence in what he is saying anymore.”

Mr. Rubio called for Mr. Holder to resign last year over the “fast and furious” gunrunning scandal.

Republicans are growing increasingly frustrated with Mr. Holder and some have called for him to leave his job following his testimony last month on Capitol Hill over the role he played in the surveillance of journalists.
