Though Congress has been gridlocked for weeks, Jet Blue is doing everything it can to get “Bills” moving.
Anyone named Bill flying out of a D.C.-area airport will get a free “Even More Speed” pass that lets them pass through security quicker, the airline company announced Friday on its corporate blog.
“Whatever our personal politics are, we’d all like to see good legislation moving through Washington,” Marty St. George, senior vice president marketing and commercial strategy, said in the blog post.
Passengers with any variation of the name Bill — including Billy, William, Willa and Guillermo — just needs to present a government-issued ID at the JetBlue ticket counter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Any passengers traveling with a Bill are also eligible for the pass, which gives passengers access to an expedited line for security.
The promotion runs through Oct. 31, even if the government shutdown, now in its fourteenth day, ends before then.
