Romney: 'Very much on the same page' with Ryan on budget

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has emphasized that he will be running on his own budget proposal — not the plan of his ticket mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, which dramatically overhauls Medicare and Medicaid — but said Wednesday the two are quite close on the issue.

Rubio to introduce Romney at GOP convention

Right on the heels of the announcement of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus revealed that Sen. Marco Rubio will formally introduce Mitt Romney as the party nominee on Aug. 30 at the convention in Mr. Rubio's home state of Florida.

Sununu to CNN host: 'Put an Obama bumper sticker on your forehead'

Lest anyone think questions over vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan's plan to overhaul Medicare will go away any time soon, look no further than Mitt Romney surrogate John Sununu, a former New Hampshire governor, who vigorously defended his boss Tuesday morning while accusing a CNN host of carrying water for the Obama administration in a heated exchange.

President Obama is picking a new fight with Mitt Romney's new vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, taking the Wisconsin congressman to task for opposing a major new farm bill now working its way through Congress.
