Sunday’s 23-7 New York Giants win over the Redskins means Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is now 2-0 against Washington since he turned the coaching job here.
As far as the guy who did take the Redskins job, you might want to keep a close eye on Jim Zorn on the sidelines these days during games. His frustration level is very animated and out there for all to see. He is heading for a total sideline meltdown.
And as far as the guy who the Redskins would have loved to have taken the head coaching job this past off season, Bill Cowher, his name is coming up again in reports as a replacement in Cleveland for dead-man-walking Browns coach Romeo Crennel. It would be a homecoming for Cowher, who played for the Browns and was an assistant coach there in the 1980s.
Whose staff was Cowher on in Cleveland? Former Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer — who is also rumored to be a candidate to replace Cremmel.
