Forward Monique Currie rejoins the Mystics lineup tomorrow night against the Atlanta Dream after missing most of the season recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Currie sustained the injury while playing in Turkey, and was expected to miss the entire season, but her unexpected return could provide a bit of a spark for the team.

The Mystics have lost nine in a row, and are now 5-24. They are on pace to have the second-worst record in their history, the worst being the 3-27 mark they posted in their inaugural season in 1998.

Last season, Currie averaged 14.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Currie also led the team in three point field goal percentage (.446).

Currie will see limited playing time as she works her way back into game shape, and the trainers aren’t going to push things by playing her in the back to back against Atlanta, who they face again on the road on Friday night.

Currie is expected to see limited playing time in the final three games.
