ST. LOUIS — The Nationals offense finally exploded on Sunday in a doubleheader sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers and Nationals manager Jim Riggleman hasn’t opted to change too much from the formula that gave him success this past weekend.

Why should he? The main moving parts in the lineup, Ian Desmond and Danny Espinosa, both thrived in their new slots in the series sweep of the Brewers with Desmond breaking through at home after an 0-for-29 streak inside Nationals Park to begin the season and Espinosa putting on a show on Sunday with a three-run home run in the first game of a doubleheader and a three-run triple in the second, both coming from the left side of the plate.

Michael Morse is back in the No. 6 spot in the lineup but with Wilson Ramos catching, it makes sense for the Nationals to give the guy with the .414 average the potential for a few more at-bats.
