MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Nationals have added right-handed reliever Henry Rodriguez to the Double-A Harrisburg roster to begin a rehab assignment.

Rodriguez, who struggled with his control after arriving to spring training late due to visa issues, was dealing with some neck spasms toward the end of spring training and began the season on the 15-day disabled list. The Nationals now have 30 days to keep him on rehab assignment and they don’t intend on rushing him.

One of the components to the Josh Willingham trade this offseason, Rodriguez hasn’t pitched in a game since March 17 and made just three appearances this spring, allowing two earned runs in 2 1/3 innings of work off three hits and three walks.
