The Nationals are facing a righty again Sunday – and not just any righty but reigning Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay (15-5, 2.53 ERA), who’s a front-runner to capture the trophy again this year. Yet they’ll toss a righty-heavy lineup at the Phillies in the series finale.
On the other hand, the Phillies bring lefty Raul Ibanez and their usual group of switch-hitters against righty Chien-Ming Wang.
“Obviously the Phillies have a pretty deep lineup, one through eight or nine. Even the pitchers can hit,” the Nats’ Collin Balester said. “You wanna face the best.”
