CHICAGO — In case anyone forgot, there is actually a baseball game to be played today. Interim manager John McLaren’s first lineup is one that doesn’t include the pitcher hitting as the Nationals play their second Interleague series of the season.

McLaren’s opting to go back to having Jayson Werth leading off with Roger Bernadina hitting second behind him. Ian Desmond is hitting ninth and Laynce Nix will bat cleanup and hit third as the Nationals face right-hander Edwin Jackson.


Adam Dunn is DH-ing and hitting sixth for Chicago.
