CHICAGO — The Nationals have an opportunity Saturday to win their fifth straight series and they’ll attempt to do it with Ryan Zimmerman getting his first action as the designated hitter.

Zimmerman, who has played every game since returning from the disabled list June 14, will bat third. Laynce Nix, who served as the DH Friday night, will sit. Jerry Hairston Jr. will play third base and Brian Bixler will play left field.
