Nationals lose another as Morse scratched

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Michael Morse became the third National of the day to be scratched from the lineup when Laynce Nix went out to left field in his place to begin the bottom of the first inning.

According to a Nationals spokesman, Morse was scratched just before the first pitch because he was feeling under the weather. Perhaps manager Jim Riggleman will expand on that when we talk with him after the game.

Morse was out with the team during BP and seemed to be doing just fine but that changed just before gametime.
