The Nationals were scheduled to head to Orlando this evening for their penultimate spring training contest against the Braves.

Rain has wiped out those plans. The Nationals will play their final game of the spring on Tuesday at home in Viera against the Mets.

Tom Milone, the Nationals’ 2010 Pitcher of the Year was scheduled to get his first major league start against the Braves tonight but he’s likely missed his chance. The Nationals could throw him on Tuesday but it may be more likely that they keep Jordan Zimmermann on track for his first start of the regular season, Sunday against the Braves.

The rainout also assures the Nationals (15-13) of finishing the spring with their first winning record since 2004 when the team was the Expos.
