Nix stays in, lineup much the same: today's lineups

← return to Nationals Watch

Seems like it’s been a while since the Nationals have taken the field at Nationals Park but they’ll do so with a similar lineup to the one they’ve been running out there for much of the last nine games.

At this point, it’s safe to say Laynce Nix is either platooning in the left field spot or perhaps even has the position outright until he cools off. In retrospect, it’s been a drastic fall for Michael Morse who was anointed the starting left fielder mid-way through spring training.

Here are the lineups for today behind Tom Gorzelanny and Chris Volstad, respectively:

Nationals:

Roger Bernadina CF
Ian Desmond SS
Jayson Werth RF
Adam LaRoche 1B
Wilson Ramos C
Laynce Nix LF
Danny Espinosa 2B
Jerry Hairston Jr. 3B
Tom Gorzelanny P

Marlins:

Chris Coghlan CF
Emilio Bonifacio 3B
Hanley Ramirez SS
Gaby Sanchez 1B
John Buck C
Logan Morrison LF
Mike Stanton RF
Omar Infante 2B
Chris Volstad P
