BALTIMORE — The Nationals are on the field taking batting practice right now, which seems odd because it looked like they were doing that from 7:05 to 10:36 Friday night.

Anyway, the Nationals offense will take on right-hander Jeremy Guthrie this afternoon, three days after the Orioles used Guthrie in relief during a 15-inning game with the New York Yankees. Guthrie was scheduled to start Wednesday against New York, but because he was needed Tuesday night (for only a few pitches) he was pushed back to today.

Here’s how they’ve done in the past against Guthrie:

Roger Bernadina: 2-for-5 (.400), 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB

Ian Desmond: Never faced

Jayson Werth: 0-for-3

Wilson Ramos: 0-for-2

Adam LaRoche: 0-for-3

Laynce Nix: Never faced

Danny Espinosa: Never faced

Jerry Hairston Jr.: 0-for-3, 1 K

Matt Stairs: 4-for-21 (.190), 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 7 K

Alex Cora: 3-for-15 (.200), 2 BB, 2 K

Ivan Rodriguez: 3-for-9 (.333), 1 HR, 2 RBI, 3 K

Michael Morse: 0-for-3
