Werth absent from Nationals lineup: today's lineups

PHILADELPHIA — Jayson Werth suffered a contusion on his right elbow Tuesday night, iced it and said while it was certainly a painful issue at the time he didn’t think it’d be anything all too serious. He did admit that he might need some time.

Looks like he’s going to get it as he is absent from the Nationals’ lineup for Wednesday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Vance Worley.

Here are the full lineups as John Lannan looks to put the horrors of his previous outings at Citizens Bank Park behind him and Worley makes what shapes up to be his final start of the regular season.
