PHOENIX — The Washington Nationals have not lost in more than a week and they will take the field at Chase Field on Sunday afternoon looking to start this 10-game road trip on a 7-0 run.

A win today would also give the Nationals their ninth straight road victory (dating back to the previous trip that ended in Milwaukee) and would match a franchise record for consecutive road wins.

For the Nationals to reach those marks, though, they’ll need to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks and left-hander Patrick Corbin and they’ll be attempting to do so without Jayson Werth in the lineup.

Werth, who has played in 10 games since returning from the disabled list and the Nationals have won all 10, is hitting .412 with four doubles and seven walks since returning from a broken left wrist. He played center field on Saturday night, though, so it’s not shocking to see him get a day game after a night game off as he’s still working his legs back into top shape.

Ross Detwiler’s on the mound for the Nationals as he looks to continue his run of strong starts.
