Mere hours after they walked off the field early Tuesday morning, the Nationals and Braves will be back at it for the second game of this pivotal three-game series between the division rivals.

The Nationals will seemingly catch a break at the outset with Chipper Jones out of the Braves lineup after Monday’s marathon.


A win would give the Nationals a seven game cushion in the National League East, an unprecedented lead for them and move them even more solidly into control of the division. A loss would bring them back to five games up.
