BALTIMORE — At this point it seems relatively clear that the Nationals have one lineup for when they’re facing right-handers and another for when they’re facing left-handers. With left-hander Wei-Yin Chen on the mound today for the Baltimore Orioles, they’ll be using their lineup against left-handers — and that means Tyler Moore will be in it.

Moore, who has been swinging the bat extremely well since his one-week stint back in the minor leagues at the end of May-beginning of June, will play left field today. With the Nationals playing in an American League ballpark, they’re allowed the luxury of a DH, which means Michael Morse can hit there and Xavier Nady can get a start in right field.

In an NL park, with the way Moore has been hitting (.444 with two doubles, two homers and four walks since his recall) you’d have to imagine he would get the start before Nady.

At any rate, on the one year anniversary of Jim Riggleman’s abrupt resignation, Moore and Nady will both be in the lineup as the Nationals send Edwin Jackson to the mound in the hopes of salvaging a chance at winning the series.
