Today's lineups: Ryan Zimmerman in despite sore shoulder

BALTIMORE — It was after his second straight 0-for-4 evening that Ryan Zimmerman and Nationals manager Davey Johnson both admitted the third baseman’s shoulder is not right. The possibility of a cortisone injection exists, as does a possible disabled list stint centered on the All-Star break.

But for now, Zimmerman will continue to gut it out, playing third base and hitting third for the Nationals.

The Nationals will play a rubber game for just the fourth time this season this afternoon in Baltimore. They are 3-0 in those games to this point. They’ll send Ross Detwiler to the mound, making his first start since May 25 after the Nationals swapped he and Chien-Ming Wang again, and the Orioles will counter with right-hander Jake Arrieta.
