BOSTON — Facing a left-hander in Felix Doubront and with the luxury of the designated hitter, the Nationals lineup looks a little different tonight for their series opener against the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Danny Espinosa will lead off, Michael Morse will bat cleanup behind Ryan Zimmerman, and Tyler Moore and Xavier Nady will man the corners in Fenway’s unique outfield.

I doubt he’d complain, being in the big leagues and all, but Moore (a first baseman exclusively until this season) hasn’t been given any cookies when it comes to playing left field. He made his second major league start in a roomy left field in Pittsburgh and now will get his welcome back to the majors by tackling the Green Monster.

Morse, as expected, is getting the day off from throwing while still getting to hit as the DH. Lombardozzi, whose splits against left-handers (.105 avg) are markedly worse than against right-handers (.324), is also getting a day off.
