VIERA, Fla. — The Washington Nationals are traveling to Jupiter, Fla. tonight for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Marlins with Stephen Strasburg on the hill.

With Bryce Harper sidelined for a few days with tightness in his left calf, the Nationals had to shake up their lineup a bit for tonight’s game.

Here’s the new lineup:

Ian Desmond SS
Steve Lombardozzi 2B
Jason Michaels LF
Tyler Moore 1B
Anthony Rendon 3B
Jesus Flores C
Rick Ankiel DH
Brett Carroll RF
Roger Bernadina CF

Stephen Strasburg P

Strasburg will be followed to the mound by Tom Gorzelanny, Chad Durbin, Sean Burnett, Atahualpa Severino and Jeff Fulchino.

The Nationals will also bring Andres Blanco, Chad Tracy, Mark Teahen, Corey Brown, Sandy Leon, Jarrett Hoffpauir, Jhonatan Solano, Carlos Rivero and Eury Perez with them on the drive south for tonight’s game.

– The Nationals will play a split squad on Saturday, at home against the New York Mets and in Lakeland vs. the Detroit Tigers. The lineup traveling to Lakeland was supposed to include Harper, in a matchup against Justin Verlander that would have had folks salivating, but he’s obviously not on the trip now due to his calf (which isn’t anything serious, by the way).

Adam LaRoche is slated to play first base and hit cleanup in the home game, the first spring game of the season for the first baseman who’s been sidelined early with a left ankle sprain. One other interesting note in these lineups is that Danny Espinosa will travel to Lakeland and play shortstop — his natural position — for the first time this spring. Nationals manager Davey Johnson mentioned earlier this spring that Espinosa would see some time there but purely as a contingency plan in case the Nationals’ lost Desmond for a long period of time.

Here are the lineups for Saturday:

– Wang will be followed by Craig Stammen, Brad Lidge, Ryan Mattheus and Drew Storen, and the bench for that game will consist of Sandy Leon, Adrian Nieto, Jarrett Hoffpauir, Anthony Rendon, Tyler Moore, Michael Taylor and Randolph Oduber.

– Lannan will be followed by Yunesky Maya, Tyler Clippard, Austin Bibens-Dirkx, Rafael Martin and Ryan Perry. The Nationals will also bring with them Andres Blanco, Justin Bloxom, Carlos Rivero, Carlos Maldonado, David Freitas, Jeff Kobernus and Destin Hood.
