PITTSBURGH — Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson wrote out his first lineup since April that included Ryan Zimmerman and Adam LaRoche this afternoon, but it was also his first of many that was certain not to include Jayson Werth.

In Werth’s absence, the Nationals’ lineup took on yet another incarnation. Bryce Harper moved up to the No. 2 spot in the lineup (with Steve Lombardozzi now back on the bench in favor of Zimmerman at third). Zimmerman returned to the No. 3 spot and LaRoche resumed his spot as the team’s cleanup hitter. Danny Espinosa will hit fifth.

Roger Bernadina gets the start in left field, where he and Xavier Nady figure to get the majority of the playing time with Harper in right during Werth’s absence.

Here are the full lineups as Edwin Jackson heads to the mound against right-hander A.J. Burnett.
