Nationals-Cubs lineups: Regulars return in finale with Cubs

Nationals manager Davey Johnson rested at least one of his regulars the past two nights. Tuesday it was Bryce Harper, replaced by Tyler Moore — who homered. Wednesday it was Jayson Werth, replaced by Roger Bernadina — who homered. 

For the finale against the woebegone Chicago Cubs, Johnson filled up the lineup with his regulars as the Nationals look to see if they can keep their ridiculous homer-happy stretch going against Cubs right-hander Justin Germano.

The Nationals will send Jordan Zimmermann to the mound coming off arguably the worst start of his career but on regular five days of rest and see how their right-hander responds. Zimmermann and Johnson both felt the issue in his previous start was mechanical, perhaps that an extra day of rest made him too strong. We’ll see how performs tonight.
