Nationals - Reds lineup: Steve Lombardozzi at third, Jayson Werth hits cleanup

With the Washington Nationals looking to break a four-game losing streak and facing another tough National League contender, manager Davey Johnson inserted Steve Lombardozzi at third base and in the No. 2 spot in the lineup and moved Jayson Werth to cleanup in the hopes of sparking his offense.

Those were the only changes for the Nationals on Thursday afternoon, with rookie Anthony Rendon getting a day off.

Here are the full lineups as Gio Gonzalez looks to buck a negative trend in which he’s lasting five innings or less and having at least one inning in which he throws 30-plus pitches.
